Well, one thing led to another and late in the afternoon, we reach the top of Yosemite Falls, looking out over Yosemite Valley. It turned out to be quite a grueling hike. The last part of the climb looked like it should take 20 minutes and it just kept going and going and going and took a lot longer than that. I was incredibly impressed with how great the kids did on the climb. The top gives you a great view of the valley, but you can no longer really see the falls because you're above them and they fall straight down below you.
In case you're wondering, this trail was 3.5 miles to the top with a climb of 2500 feet (nearly 1/2 a mile) and you climb up to an altitude of around 6700 feet.
